Another beautiful day, sun is shining. We had a tour of Lynice's work place (Kenai Kids Therapy), then went out for lunch to Odies. 2 musicians were playing there, so that was neat!  Then we visited a knife-making place, and a place that makes carvings from all kinds of antlers.  And Kristopher was in Anchorage today writing an exam and he passed. Congratulations Kristopher!!!!  Well done!

Fresh Salmon!

Kristopher caught a fish today.   Really tasty supper for us!

Shopping!!!

Dad and Kristopher went fishing for salmon today - standing in the water was cold, and......no luck but they had a good teacher (Kristophers uncle Lonnie) and learned how to "flip" for salmon. The girls had a shopping day. I got 2 new pairs of shoes!!!   We also found some cool Alaska souvenirs. 

July 4 celebration

We watched a parade today. Lots of old cars!!  Kinda rainy and cool, but we were prepared and we had fun.   Anne - daylight is long, but Lynice says the light is getting shorter.  It was still light last night at 11:00. I'm not sure after that because I was sleeping!

Kenai a River and the ocean

This morning we went for a walk - nice change from driving. Saw the Kenai River and the ocean.   

Guess where I am!!!!!!!

I am at Lynice and Kris' place!!!!!  Saw some amazing glaciers between Glenallen and Palmer and ran into more construction!!!!   The white at the bottom of these mountains is a huge, long, long patch of ice. (Would that be called an ice field???)

Whitehorse to Gakona Alaska

We travelled the worst roads of the trip today, stopped at the Gakona RV Park for the night. Nice there. We we're able to sit by the river but could only see the riverbed. The camp owner said the river moved over!!  Saw some amazing glaciers close to Haines Junction. More beautiful scenery.   The lake is Kluane Lake, YT.
