Homer

Travelled to Homer at the end of the Kenai Peninsula. The harbour is on a long, very skinny strip of land called "The Strip" (you can see it in the landscape pic below).  It has lots of tiny little shops. We walked along the boardwalk and took in the sights.  A man with a big dog came over to show him to me.

  1. Oh my goodness, what a beautiful place. Love all the mountains, with the snow...right next to water...so pretty. I never knew that this part of Alaska was known for halibut fishing, but clearly it is an important industry.
That is a huge dog...but certainly seems friendly.
You certainly are having a great adventure!
    Hugs...Anne
